How to plant: Parsley is one of the easiest herbs to grow!
- Parlsey grows a long taproot and it does not transfer well, so put it in the pot that you would have intended it to be in once it got bigger and fill it up with rich and moist soil.
- Sprinkle the seeds over top, then cover that with a ¼ inch layer of soil.
- If too many seed sprout, you can just thin them by pinching out all the extras. Pulling them out when they get too big might mess up the taproot of the other sprouts.
- Keep soil lightly moist.
- Place them in a window preferrably facing south. They need 8 hours of sunlight but turn them half way because Parlsey tends to “grow to the sun” meaning if they get sun from the left then they are going to bend to the left.
- What happens is, since Parsley has a 2 year period, the first year it will be edible. Once it survives winter, the second spring the plant will flower and go to seed. Once that happens, remove the plant and start over again!
Tips/Facts/Uses:
- Great in cooking!
- One of the most healthiest foods!
- Good on insect bites.
